A period martial arts television drama series that has Nick Cheung in the role of the drunken martial artist who learns under the tuteluge of Ng Man Tat. Anita Yuen plays Nick's wife, and together they are part of the Heaven and Earth society whose pledge is to overthrow the Qing government.

A remake of the classic love story between a general and a princess whose destinies were entwined, and their union would behold a greater peace of the land. Princess Fan Lei Fah (Hsuan) is destined to marry General Sik Ding San (Joe Ma) of the Tang empire. However, there are forces that would see them not marry, and it is their combined powers (both are skilled soldiers and tacticians) that would hold off an invasion force geared at the Tang.

This new TVB series is lighter in tone, and as is most common nowadays includes plenty of romance and comedy. A far cry from the late 80s version which had lesser comedy and more seriousness. That version had starred Felix Wong as Sik and Chan Man Yee as Fan.
