STAR
RUNNER
Starring: Vanness Wu, Andy On Chi Kit, Kim Hyun Joo, Wong Yau Nam,
Chin Kar Lok, Ti Lung, Gordon Liu, Max Mox
A film about kickboxing, and the Cantonese title suggests that
this is a sort of prequel to Andy Lau's A Fighter's Blues, but I
think it is merely a film about kickboxing with the same name. The
film basically charts the progress of a fighter who wants to take
on the best in the ring and win. |

a minibus is primarily a man's job, and she finds it difficult,
but she meets a decent colleague in Dai Fai (Lau Ching Wan), who

a little bit complicated when she realises who he really is. |
THE
DEATH CURSE

The Twins join pop band the Boy'z in this comedy horror. Judging
the audience the film is aimed at, don't expect an intelligent film.
When an old man dies, he leaves a large heritance to his eight children.
When the eight of them meet in the ancient home of their father,
they encounter strange things within the house, and scream their
pretty faces off when their father's dead body floats all around
